Huntsville Mayor says Hunters Bay Trail extension offers unique new active opportunity

The Town of Huntsville is inviting you to take a walk on its newest trail addition.

The expansion for the Hunters Bay Trail was officially unveiled on Friday with Mayor Scott Aitchison joining in on the ribbon-cutting celebration. Aitchison says it’s a great opportunity for residents and visitors alike to stay active in Huntsville.

The expansion offers some new features for hikers like floating trails, bridges and boardwalks.

The project cost just over $750,000 and was funded by the town, the District of Muskoka, the TransCanada Trail organization and the Pan Am Legacy Fund.
