Bracebridge's mayor wants MAHC services kept in town

Bracebridge Mayor Graydon Smith says any plans that don’t keep vibrant programs and services at Bracebridge and Huntsville hospitals must be rejected. This week Smith wrote MAHC Board Chair Larry Saunders about Bracebridge residents concerns. Smith says the relocation of chemotherapy services to Huntsville from Bracebridge is seen as having a negative impact on Bracebridge. He says there’s a groundswell of support from residents and members of the South Muskoka medical community to get that decision reversed. With long term planning underway at MAHC, Smith wants to meet with its board. He hopes they give serious thought to the letter and that no more services leave town.
