HUNTSVILLE, ON – A brush fire south of Huntsville had traffic on Highway 11 down to one lane for a time on Sunday.
Around 1:30pm crews from Huntsville and Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to reports of a blaze in heavy brush atop a rock cut south of Madill Church Road off the southbound lane of the highway.
Approximately 20 firefighters responded to the incident, running hoses into the woods about 100 yards.
The fire was put out and lanes reopened just before 2:00pm.
