OPP to continue snowmobile training in the Muskoka region throughout February

The OPP will continue to conduct snowmobile training throughout Bracebridge and Huntsville in February.

According to police, residents can expect an increased police presence on local trails and in surrounding areas over the course of the month.

Launched in January, this annual training equips OPP officers with essential skills in snowmobile handling, trail patrolling, and tactical scenarios.

Police said these efforts ensure officers are fully prepared to maintain safety and effectiveness throughout the winter season, adding that all activities are planned with public safety in mind and that no disruptions to local trail systems are expected.

Police ask snowmobilers to use caution when encountering police training in progress and to always ride according to trail conditions, posted signage and applicable laws.
