Muskoka Timber Mills has pledged $25,000 to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Business Cares Initiative to boost local healthcare.
According to officials, this donation will help equip the Huntsville Hospital with the advanced technology and medical tools necessary for staff to provide high-quality, local care for all patients.
“Community support is essential to the strength of our hospital,” said Katherine Craine, CEO of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. “We are grateful to Muskoka Timber Mills for stepping forward as a Business Cares partner and for recognizing the important role local businesses play in sustaining high-quality healthcare in Muskoka.”
Alan Lever, Chairman of Muskoka Timber Mills, said that, as a locally rooted company, they recognize that the strength of a community is built upon a foundation of care.
“It’s about more than just business; it’s about investing in the future and the health of the place we all call home,” Lever said. “Innovation and precision are at the heart of what we do, and we believe our local healthcare should be supported by those same standards.”
Lever said they are honoured to play a part in supporting the healthcare services for the Muskoka region.
The Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Business Cares program unites local business owners and leaders, with each committing to a $5,000 annual gift for five years.
According to officials, since January 2016, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Business Cares initiative has raised over $2 million to help our hospital acquire advanced technology and equipment.
