Gravenhurst’s new five-acre culture and events hub, Hale Muskoka, located at 1160 Bethune Drive North, is scheduled to open on August 10.
Eric Abugov, Hale Muskoka founder, said they are building a natural gathering space in the heart of Muskoka to bring people together, celebrate special occasions, discover unique items in the markets, and savour delicious food and drinks.
“Hale Muskoka will embody what makes this area so special,” said Abugov. “We worked in harmony with the natural surroundings to curate spaces that provide connected retail, dining and event experiences. It will become a one-of-a-kind hub that fosters community and connection, including a commitment to supporting local vendors, suppliers and local initiatives.”
He said the site will be versatile and can be reconfigured and transformed to suit any kind of event.
“I am really excited to see how residents, businesses and planners envision the space and bring it to life in their own way,” added Abugov.
According to officials, during the opening on Aug. 10, visitors will be able to savour bites from food trucks, shop at local artisan and farmers markets, enjoy live music and art installations, roam serene gardens, and partake in diverse programming.
“Hale Muskoka brings guests on an interconnected journey activated by greenery, wood, stone, metal and fire, providing an idyllic background for celebrating all of life’s special moments,” said Manny Neubacher, creative director. “Hale Muskoka is poised to be a truly unique year-round destination featuring the best Ontario has to offer.”
The ticketed event will feature Hale Muskoka’s first annual Smash and Sear Competition, where celebrity chefs will show off their grilling skills as they compete for the coveted title of “Best Smash Burger.”
