OPP asking everyone to help make this a safe Family Day weekend

The Ontario Provincial Police Central Region is hoping that this Family Day Long Weekend is a safe and enjoyable for everyone. The OPP is reminding people to utilize safety at all times and to remember to dress according to the weather conditions. Winter is still very much upon us and weather can change suddenly and often without warning. When travelling on area highways and roads, motorists are reminded to make sure that any items stored in roof racks are secured and that any trailers have properly working lights and all means of attachment are being used. As always, any travel should include a fully charged cellular phone, a full tank of gas, your emergency roadside kit and extra clothing should you break down. Police add let’s all do our part in making this a safe long weekend for all families.
