The Muskoka Paramedic Services has launched a new digital notification system designed to help make roads safer for paramedics, patients, and the public.
The District of Muskoka is flushing hydrants until July 31 as part of its routine spring maintenance program, releasing large amounts of high-pressure water through the system.
The annual community event will run Saturday (Nov. 7) and Sunday (Nov. 8) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the Huntsville Legion, located at 21 Veterans Way.
Under the Highway Traffic Act, school crossing guards are authorized to stop traffic while helping pedestrians cross roadways with speed limits of up to 60 km/h.
Police say on Nov. 1, officers received a report that a child opened a chocolate bar and discovered a small needle or pin inside while breaking it apart.
