Two young families getting ready to move in to a Habitat for Humanity home in Huntsville

Huntsville is getting a bit bigger thanks to Habitat for Humanity. The non-profit is working on its latest project, which will eventually have two young families moved in to a duplex at Walter and Irene.

Communications Coordinator, Greg Cowan, says they’re finishing up the outside work, and soon the interior construction will begin. He says the home is in a great location, right across from a park, for the two families.

Cowan says they’ve been renting and struggling to buy a home, as many young families do. So, they contacted Habitat when they were looking for families, and were matched with this home. He says they expect the families to be moved in by the end of summer, but that will depend on construction.

Cowan notes they will be building again the area, so if you’re in a similar situation keep an eye out for a call for families.
