RMS Segwun and Wenonah II scheduled for quinquennial inspections this month

Muskoka’s two steamships will be dry docked during the month.
Tomorrow, the RMS Segwun will make her way up to the Port Carling lock between Lake Rosseau and Lake Muskoka.
From there the ship will be dry docked for its quinquennial, or five-year, hull and equipment inspection.
President of the Muskoka Steamship and Historical Society John Miller says they are fortunate to have the lock for use in Port Carling for this necessary inspection.
The lock has a cradle installed that the ships can sit on once the water is drained.
The 126 foot, nearly 130-year-old ship will spend two weeks being inspected from bow to stern.
Her sister ship the Wenonah II is scheduled for inspection on October 27th until November 10th.
