Beaver Creek Institution in Gravenhurst has reopened following a lockdown that started last week.
The lockdown was initiated after officials in the prison believed there may be dangerous contraband somewhere in the medium-security prison.
During the lockdown all regular social programs were shut down, while correctional staff searched the facility.
Staff found a number of items that were considered contraband during the search according to officials.
Correctional Service of Canada reports all programs and day-to-day operations are running once again.
