Bracebridge gets five more EV chargers

Five electric vehicle chargers have been installed at the Bracebridge Sportsplex.

Bracebridge Generation says it’s the first of 14 Level 2 charging stations that will be installed around town before the fall, including at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre. The company adds 42 more are on their way to Parry Sound-Muskoka by the end of this year.

“Through this partnership with Lakeland, we can offer residents and visitors more options and flexibility to support environmentally friendly transportation, sustainability, and ensuring Bracebridge is positioned for future growth and development,” says Bracebridge Mayor Rick Maloney.

The new stations are thanks in part to the federal government’s Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Program, which Bracebridge Generation has used to install 40 chargers to date.
