Northern rescue dogs come to Muskoka looking for new homes

A group of northern dogs looking for new homes are coming to Muskoka.

A dozen pooches were collected from remote northern Ontario communities, where dog populations have been growing out of control. The Ontario SPCA along with community partners has been working to bring these dogs south to help ease the population and find them new homes.

The 12 dogs flown to Kapuskasing and the bused further south will be spread out amongst the Muskoka, Orillia and Barrie SPCAs. If you’re interested in adopting one of these former northern residents you can find more details here.
