Residents in Vankoughnet will be coming together for a day filled with hockey.
On Saturday, the community will be celebrating the eighth annual Vankoughnet Cup.
The pond hockey three-on-three tournament will start off at 9:00a.m., with 12 teams registered to play.
Organizer Mike Sturgeon says following the playdowns the teams will get together for a pub where prizes will be handed out.

There is also a 50/50 shootout where any number of people can pay $5.00 to attempt to score on a goalie and win the pot.
