Our member of parliament is in favour of the recent proposal for a two-site hospital model.
The Town of Huntsville and Bracebridge held a special council meeting to approve a hospital plan to take to the LHIN to oppose the single-site model proposed by MAHC. Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement says he is on board with the two-site plan and is happy to see the two municipalities working together.
The former Minister of Health says tax payers would feel the effects of a single-site hospital.
Clement believes travelling would also become a major issue for the single-site model as people may be travelling much longer to get the right care.
