Environment Canada says Muskoka will get a normal spring season

Say goodbye to winter as spring officially arrives. Senior Climatologist with Environment Canada David Phillips tells us what we can expect for the next month.

Phillips says these cooler than normal temperatures will be good for Muskoka.

Good news is we can expect a normal spring overall. Phillips says we just have to be patient as nature takes its time to warm things up.

Meantime, as we start to see the spring thaw, we are going to see more wildlife on our roads. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is asking you to be extra careful when driving, especially at dawn and dusk. Also, if you’re a snowmobiler, you might want to start thinking about putting you machine away as most of the trails on District 7 are closed for the season.
