James Street in Gravenhurst to be closed from April 13 to 24

James Street, between John Street and Fernwood Drive in Gravenhurst, will be closed from April 13 to 24 to allow for unanticipated storm sewer drainage repairs.

According to Town of Gravenhurst officials, the repairs will take place near 341 James St. W., with equipment and materials staged along the closed section.

Officials said pedestrian access will remain available to Gravenhurst Public School and Gravenhurst High School, with the crosswalk open and crossing guards present during school hours.

While James Street is closed to general traffic, the town said driveway access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles.

Drivers are advised to consider Muskoka Road 169 as an alternate route.
