Ontario Northland construction to start on March 5 in Huntsville

Ontario Northland is set to begin its construction work on Station Road tomorrow (March 5).

The Town of Huntsville says work is necessary to enhance accessibility at the location and support future rail operations, including a new platform.

It’s anticipated to continue through this fall.

Officials say during construction, Station Road will be limited to one-way traffic, eastbound only, between 26 Station Road and Burrow Pit Lane.

Signage will be in place, though officials are recommending avoiding using Station Road for the duration of construction. Parking in the area will be maintained.

The Town says local businesses and residents are being directly notified by Ontario Northland.
