On July 3, following a preliminary investigation, six individuals were arrested and charged by police. A seventh person was arrested and charged in December.
The 32-year-old Brampton man, the eighth person arrested in connection with the home invasion, has been charged with three counts of robbery using a firearm, two counts of forcible confinement, one count of kidnapping while using a firearm, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, use of a firearm while committing an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, theft of a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
The accused is in custody and is slated to appear in court on Feb. 25.
The OPP said they believe additional suspects, who may be armed and dangerous, remain at-large. Police urge the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activity.
