Scotiabank Port Carling branch will be relocating to Gravenhurst May 2026

Scotiabank has announced that its Port Carling branch, located at 109 Maple Street, will be closing. All services will be relocated to the Gravenhurst branch at 198 Muskoka Road North.

According to officials, the move is scheduled to take effect May 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

In a letter to clients, the bank explained that changing banking habits, including a significant increase in online and mobile banking, has led to reduced in-person branch traffic.

“With client preferences changing, and more day-to-day banking being done digitally...we are continuing to evolve how we serve our clients and invest in areas that make it easier for our clients to bank in multiple ways,” said Yara Jouzy, Manager for Canadian Banking Communications.

Officials say customers will see no changes to account numbers or cheques, and safety deposit boxes will be securely transferred to the Gravenhurst branch with no changes to access procedures. Clients can continue to bank at any Scotiabank branch, ATM, or through the Scotiabank mobile app, online or telephone banking.

The bank assures that both Port Carling and Gravenhurst teams are ready to assist clients during the transition.
