Gravenhurst Fire Department recommends spring clean up

Gravenhurst’s fire department says spring clean up can help in an emergency. After a challenging winter, many properties have large branches or fallen trees. Fire Chief, Larry Brassard says to help fire fighters in the event of a fire, residents should keep roadways open and clear at all times. Cottagers and others who live in remote areas should also take extra precautions. Brassard says roadways should be kept clear within 6 meters of width and 5 meters of height for the full width of the roadway. For more details on fire safety visit the Town’s website.
