2014 Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame demonstrates Olympic vibe

Five more names have now been added to the Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony happened on Saturday. Hall President Wendy McConnell says since revamping the Hall of Fame last year, they’ve had nothing but great feedback.

This year’s induction ceremony happened on Saturday evening at the Active Living Centre. Bill Nickalls was one of the five inductees and says it was an honour.

Olympic Gold Medalist Dara Howell is the youngest athlete to ever be inducted into the Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame. Howell says it’s pretty cool to be joining others who made a huge difference in local sports.

Other inductees include Bob Hutcheson, Murray Ruby and Dan Roycroft.
