Muskoka came together to show support for one of their own. The Town of Huntsville hosted the Dara Howell Olympic Gold Celebration on Friday. Thousands of people poured into RiverMillPark for the event. An event many of you thought was really exciting.

Our MP Tony Clement and MPP Norm Miller were there to congratulate her. Huntsville Mayor Claude Doughty surprised Howell with the unveiling of the new Dara Howell Way, which is located along the RiverMillPark parking lot. Howell also received the key to the town.
The event ran from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with live entertainment and fireworks. Down With Webster performed, one of Howell’s all time favourite Canadian rock bands.
