Town of Gravenhurst begins Gravel Maintenance Program

The Town of Gravenhurst has begun its 2026 Gravel Maintenance Program.

Throughout the program, officials said crews will add gravel to municipally maintained roads, fill potholes and grade road surfaces.

Town officials said the work is weather-dependent and will take place on the following roads:

  • Sunny Lake Road
  • Chickadee Lane
  • Bird Haven Way
  • Ruttan Road West
  • Ben Lake Road East
  • Hall’s Road
  • Sam Cook Road
  • Bell Road
  • Benzinger Road
  • Frederick Lane
  • Witbeck Road

Officials advised drivers to expect delays and obey all posted signage.

Drivers are also advised to avoid parking along the roadside, as parked vehicles could interfere with the work.

Town staff said any concerns about gravel roads that are not addressed through the program should be reported to the Infrastructure Services Department.
