Residents invited to weigh in on proposed sauna and cold plunge in Huntsville

Huntsville residents are being asked to share their thoughts on a proposal for a waterfront sauna and cold plunge.

Town officials say in compliance with the Town’s Lease Policy, Huntsville Town Council is considering leasing municipal property to a private business to operate the facility on the Muskoka River.

The proposed locations include River Mill Park, west of the public docks near the community garden, and the Town Dock municipal property by the finger docks in front of On the Docks Pub.

Officials say local organizations, nearby businesses, environmental groups, and lake associations have been consulted, and feedback gathered during those discussions helped with the evaluation of the proposed sites.

Council is seeking public feedback through an online survey before making a final decision.

The deadline for submissions is August 11.
