South Muskoka Memorial Hospital unveils new urology fluoroscopy table

The South Muskoka Memorial Hospital unveiled a new urology fluoroscopy table to improve precision and efficiency in local patient care.

According to Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare officials, the hospital has also welcomed Dr. Bruce MacDonald, who will join Dr. Jonathan Rhee in the urology unit.

Officials said Dr. Bruce MacDonald assumed the role previously held by Dr. Anthony Drohomyrecky to keep helping the team meet growing demand for urology services in the region.

“This is a meaningful step forward for our program,” said Dr. Jonathan Rhee from the hospital’s urology unit. “With enhanced technology and additional physician support, we are better positioned to provide timely, high-quality care for patients across Muskoka.”

Officials said the new equipment provides real-time imaging for a range of specialized procedures, allowing Muskoka residents to get the care they need locally instead of traveling outside the region.

Hospital staff said these developments reflect continued progress in urology care in Muskoka, supporting both patients and providers across the region.
