Students aged 15 to 29 can receive up to $3,000 in funding to launch their own business this summer through the Muskoka Small Business Centre 2026 Summer Company program.
According to officials, the program, which is funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, is to equip young people with the tools, knowledge and financial support needed to bring their business ideas to life.
The program provides an initial $1,500 to start and an additional $1,500 upon successful completion. It also includes business training and mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs, along with support in marketing, planning and budgeting, giving participants the opportunity to be their own boss this summer.
The program is open to high school, college and university students attending school in Ontario.
Applicants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the agreement, and participants must be returning to school in September after completing the Summer Company program.
