The annual door-to-door food drive supporting the South Muskoka Salvation Army in Bracebridge will return on Dec. 1.
The Bracebridge Fire Department and Muskoka Paramedic Services will be going door-to-door in Bracebridge from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to collect non-perishable food items.
According to officials, the food bank requires canned vegetables, soup, instant rice, tea and coffee, pasta, peanut butter, and tomato sauce.
Residents are asked to place donations on their front porch by 6 p.m., turn on the porch lights to indicate participation and ensure the safety of volunteers collecting donations, and listen for sirens for pickups on the street.
Officials said those unable to participate on Dec. 1 can still get involved by dropping off food donations at the Salvation Army Bracebridge Community Church at 456 Manitoba Street.
