The annual Kearney Dog Sled Race kicks off tonight. The weekend-long event will see teams from across Ontario mush into Kearney to take part in one of four races. Tonight, the event will start off with a family skate and bonfire, with the races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. New this year is the 10-dog stage race. There will also be other activities for the family during the races including face painting, winter games, igloo building and more. The races start tomorrow at the waterfront in downtown Kearney with routes going into the forest between Kearney and Algonquin Park. Click here for full details.
