Police lay charges after a South River crash

A collision in South River has resulted in charges. Provincial police in Almaguin Highlands were called to a two vehicle collision on February 19th at the intersection of Ottawa Avenue and Highway 124. Officers found that a van was travelling south on the highway and was turning left onto Ottawa Avenue when a northbound pickup truck came through the intersection and hit the side of the van. One passenger of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the driver of the van was charged with failure to yield right of way.
