Fire destroys a Gravenhurst cottage

A fire has destroyed a Gravenhurst cottage. Late yesterday afternoon, fire broke out at the cottage located at 1070 Rusty Rock Road, causing road closures on Muskoka Beach Road as Bracebridge and Gravenhurst fire crews battled the flames. No one was injured as no one was there at the time. Damage was estimated to exceed $1 million. The cause is not considered suspicious, but the investigation continues.
