YMCA asking people to do random acts of kindness this week

COTTAGE COUNTRY, ON-The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is starting their Act for Peace week.

From November 16th to the 23rd, the YMCA is urging members to build a better community by engaging in acts of peace.

According to the press release, the YMCA is looking to establish peace by continuing to build and maintain conditions of fairness, inclusion, empathy, security and respect for diversity.

Each YMCA member and those who are not, are asked to perform one random act of kindness each day over the course of the week.

Community members are also invited to join in on Yoga for Peace at no additional cost at the following locations:

Parry Sound YMCA on November 18th at 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Gravenhurst YMCA on November 19th between 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Orillia YMCA on November 20th at 8:00 a.m. till 8:45 a.m.

Midland YMCA on November 19th between 11:00 am to 12;00 p.m., November 20th at 1:30 p.m. till 2:15 p.m., November 21st between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and November 22nd between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
