Compliments Sweet Kale Blend recalled due to listeria contamination

MUSKOKA, ON-Compliments brand Sweet Kale Blend has been recalled due to listeria.

Sobeys issued the recall on October 30th and said customers should not consume the food as it may result in food poisoning.

Food contaminated with listeria, according to the Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), does not give any visible notice that the food may have gone bad, but it can still make you sick.

Look out for the packages with the best before dates of October 28th and 31st as well as November 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Symptoms of listeria can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Infected pregnant women may face different symptoms such as mild flu-like symptoms, a premature delivery, and if the newborn is infected it may result in a stillbirth.
