Town of Gravenhurst seeks 2020 budget feedback

GRAVENHURST, ON – The Town of Gravenhurst is seeking feedback from citizens ahead of the 2020 budget process.

Following a community input meeting on August 28th council is giving residents an additional opportunity to provide feedback through the town’s website.

According to Mayor Paul Kelly, council is trying to get a sense of where ratepayers priorities lie heading into 2020.

“For those who were not able to make it out to the input session last week, this is another great opportunity for you to have your voice heard as Council begins to prioritize for the upcoming budget,” said Kelly.

This year the capital and operating budgets will be tabled at the same time at a special council meeting on Wednesday, December 18th.

Chief Financial Officer and Director of Corporate Services Val Sequeira said an online survey will help capture what business and homeowners are feeling ahead of the next budget.

“The survey is another tool to help Council understand which services the Town should prioritize the most while balancing core services and enhancing people’s quality of life,” said Sequeira.

The survey is available to the community until Tuesday, October 15 at www.gravenhurst.ca/2020budget
