With high water levels throughout the area, some properties are at risk.
One business in Huntsville is seeing a delay in the use of its patio.
Boston Pizza has a sprawling outdoor area, but it is under two feet of water currently.
Craig Shaw, the manager, says officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources came to him on Sunday to advise the water levels on the Muskoka River had hit their peak at 4:00am and would begin falling.
He does not think the flooding will affect the restaurant itself.
“We are looking pretty good right now,” he said.
Businesses nearby have water up to their front doors including So Many Looks. And the locally named Beer Lake is present in the parking lot of the former location of the Beer Store off King William Street.
Elsewhere police and fire officials have had to rescue some residents who ignored closed road signs and carried on through only to have the engine get wet and stall.
