Cottage country’s recent run of lottery luck has continued.
A Gravenhurst woman is the latest to pick up a big prize. Marie Germaine won $75,000, the top prize, on an Instant Sweet Cash scratch ticket. The OLG says she bought the winning ticket at Winewood Variety on Winewood Avenue in Gravenhurst.
Cottage country has been on a pretty good winning streak when it comes to the lottery lately.
Back in November a ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Bracebridge and in January a PSW from Huntsville won $100,000.
This month a South River man took home $100,000, a Dunchurch man pocketed a quarter of a million dollars, and a Severn man won a cool million in February, though he bought the ticket in Erin.
On top of that, the OLG says a ticket worth $11 million was sold in the Barrie area for the March 20th draw. That ticket has yet to be claimed.
