One man is facing an aggravated assault charge after another man was stabbed in Bracebridge.
The OPP says officers were patrolling the area of Manitoba Street and Monck Road around 2:30am Saturday. They were approached by a man who told them he’d been stabbed.
The OPP says the man had significant injuries to his head and neck and was bleeding badly. He was taken to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment. Though serious, his injuries were not life-threatening.
After that, the police went about looking for witnesses and were able to find the crime scene. Both the Emergency Response Team and the canine unit were used in the search.
Police were able to identify a suspect, 22-year-old Devin Milligan of Bracebridge, and he was arrested at his home without incident.
