Your kid could become a globetrotter before leaving high school.
Youth Educational Services or YES Canada is offering a list of exchange programs this summer in countries like Australia, Brazil, France and Spain. Students would spend weeks or even months learning the local language as well as getting in some sightseeing and spending time with their host family.
The exchange programs are open to students between 12 and 18 and depending on the country your kid wants to travel to, applications need to be submitted between April and June.
Here are some of the details for each of the programs and you can find more under the ‘Destinations’ section on the YES Canada website:
- Australia, 2-month program $8,595, 3-month program $10,595, application due by April 1st
- Brazil, 1-month program $2,500, 2-month program $3,700, application due by June 1st
- Paris, France, 2-week program $3,195, 3-week program $3,850, application due by May 1st
- Spain, 2-week program $2,200, 3-week program $3,800, application due by April 30th
