Significant storm predicted for Tuesday – up to 35 cm

It may be a couple of days off, but there is potential for a significant storm in the Parry Sound and Muskoka areas.

Environment Canada says it has the potential to drop between 25 and 35 cm of snow across the area. That amount could be even higher if the system picks up more moisture based on the air temperature.

A system starting in the Southern Plains States has the potential to turn into a winter storm as it comes to Southern Ontario on Tuesday. The storm is expected to lay siege to the area through Wednesday.

It will be accompanied by strong and gusty easterly winds, reducing visibility even more. It is expected to impact all manners of travel, so officials are advising now to look at rebooking options as the storm approaches.
