Kearney going to the dogs for two days

25 years and still running.

The  Kearney Dog Sled Races are celebrating a quarter century of being the centre of Ontario’s sled racing season.

Dozens of teams in different categories are descending on the small town north of Huntsville to determine who will be – top dog(s).

Mother Nature co-operated with a late blast of snow yesterday, with trail groomers working many hours to get kilometres of race course ready for the two-day event.

Along with six dog and four dog sprints, there will be one and two dog ski-joring and a kid and mutt race each day.
