Frostbite risk returns as Arctic chill rolls back into Muskoka

Winter is bringing back the bite to Muskoka this weekend.

Environment Canada is warning of frostbite risk tonight and tomorrow as the brisk Arctic chill returns to the district. The weather service warns the temperature will likely slip close to minus 30 with the wind chill tonight. That chilly wind will continue to blow on Saturday as well, and has the potential to cause frostbite within minutes on exposed skin.

Healthcare officials suggest if you do need to venture outside for more than a few minutes, make sure you’re bundled up tight.

Environment Canada expects more normal temperatures for this time of year to return by Monday.
