An award for local entertainers is ready for its 2018 nominees.
The Bill Award is named after Maurice Willard (Bill) Waterhouse (1935 – 2015), who was a longtime supporter of local live entertainment in Huntsville. While the nominations are accepted in 2019, they are for the previous year.
Bill was the grandson of Deerhurst Resort founder Charles Waterhouse. As a result, Bill was the force behind expanding the resort’s facilities and live entertainment during the high season in the resort’s formative years.
The Bill is open to any Huntsville resident involved in any form of the performing arts seeking to showcase their talent.
Former winners of the award are not eligible.
There is a $500 prize and a trophy, with nominations being accepted until May 31st, 2019. For a full list of rules and how to apply click here.
