Fuel supplies low in Muskoka

Gas supply is running low in Muskoka.

Supply chains of fuel have been interrupted by the bitter cold and wintry conditions slowing tanker trucks throughout southern and central Ontario. Many stations in the greater Toronto area have had service interruptions as a polar vortex grips central North America.

A quick check of stations in Bracebridge and Huntsville revealed a number of stations are out of regular gas, or have just gotten a delivery after being out in the past 24 hours.

The Circle K in Huntsville, which sells Shell gasoline says they ran out of regular yesterday but still have premium available.

The Mobil at the Smart Centre in town is currently out of diesel and regular and they are not sure when a delivery of fuel is coming.

In Bracebridge Canadian Tire is reporting normal service available.

A visual check of the Independent Mobil station confirmed it was out of regular gasoline but did have high octane fuel.

The Shell in Bracebridge had run out yesterday, but received a shipment this morning and the manager says that should hold them for a couple of days.
