UPDATED: Snow squall warning issued for Muskoka

South Muskoka could get another heavy hit of snowfall today.

Environment Canada has issued a snow squall warning for Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Port Carling, warning the areas could see up to 25 cm of snowfall on the ground by Saturday.

The weather service warns snow squalls are likely to move very slowly and in some cases hang around over certain parts of Muskoka, which will cause long periods of whiteout conditions on roads and highways.

The MyMuskokaNow.com Newsroom has already had reports of whiteout conditions on Highway 11 affecting morning commutes for drivers between Bracebridge and Huntsville.
