Prepare to dig a bit deeper when you get your tax bill this year.
To meet growing demands on the budget, the Town of Bracebridge is proposing a 1.6 per cent increase on the municipal side of the bill. This would add $22.81 to taxes for a $300,000 home. This is in addition to the over $12 increase proposed for the district portion of the tax bill.
Bracebridge council will meet on February 5th at 9:00am at the town hall to review all the budget details. The meeting is open to the public.
Council will then make a final decision on the budget during its regular meeting on February 27th at 7:00pm.
