With the biting cold temperatures, Muskoka’s outdoor rinks are all open and ready for action.
The Memorial Park Winter Village and Annie Williams Memorial Park are open in Bracebridge. The town would like to thank the volunteer efforts of Mike Jefford, Peter Jefford, MJC Muskoka, Correctional Services Canada, Dads of Muskoka, Mark Quemby, Mr. Quemby, P. Medley and Sons, and Call of the Wild Inc.
In Gravenhurst, the rink at the Muskoka Wharf (1111 Bay Street) is flooded and looking in fine shape.
The Town of Huntsville is reporting the Cann Lake Outdoor Rink is also open. It is a free outdoor rink and can be found at the northeast corner of Brunel Road and Forbes Hill Drive. Parking is available on Forbes Hill Drive at Conroy Park.
The ice trail at Arrowhead Park is open daily during the week at 11:00am and some evenings, weather dependent, for the Fire and Ice night skating. Cost on Thursday’s and Friday’s is $17 per carload, going up to $20 on weekends.
All rinks require cold weather to allow for proper flooding and resurfacing and may be closed to the public based on rising temperatures.
