The OPP has released more details on a crash that took place on Muskoka Road 118W at Brackenrig Road.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision last night that was triggered by a fish-tailing pickup truck getting caught in the rear wheels of an oncoming tractor-trailer.
That caused the transport to jack-knife and hit another vehicle, putting it into a ditch.
Muskoka Lakes Fire freed the driver of the third vehicle, a Jeep, and Muskoka EMS took to him to the hospital. He was then transferred to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto via air ambulance with serious injuries.
An earlier report from Muskoka Fire indicated there were no serious injuries. The Bracebridge OPP says icy roads were a factor in the crash.
