UPDATE 10:30am: Power restored to many home, but still over 600 in the dark with a restoration time of noon.
Hydro One crews are trying to fix an outage this morning that has left nearly 5,000 homes without power.
Power went out just before 6:00am and the outage is mostly affecting the Bracebridge area, but is also extending to parts of Gravenhurst, Huntsville and Lake of Bays. There is no explanation on the cause of the outage at this point.
Hydro One is suggesting the power could be restored by 8:30am. The MyMuskokaNow newsroom will keep you updated on that restoration time.
