Bracebridge OPP lay list of drug charges on Etobicoke man

A visitor to Bracebridge has been arrested for multiple drug-related crimes.

The Bracebridge Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) initiated a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of an Etobicoke man for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Based on that result police executed a search warrant on the man’s hotel room where a large quantity of cocaine and heroin/fentanyl mix was found.

The police recovered a total of 193 grams of cocaine and 12 grams of “purple heroin”, (the heroin/fentanyl mix).

Police also found $2,600 in Canadian currency, making the net value of the seizure at just over $26,000.

28-year-old Jonathan Kerr is facing a list of charges including a pair of possession of a schedule one substance charges, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and a probation violation.

There is no word yet from police on court dates and bail hearings.
