News Lake of Bays Looking for Retail Cannabis Sales Feedback SHARE ON: Doug Crosse, staff Sunday Nov. 25th, 2018 As new councils get ready to sit following the fall election, cannabis is top of mind. Lake of Bays is the latest municipality to start the consultation process with it’s residents. The town has created an online survey looking for feedback on whether it wants to participate in the sale of recreational cannabis within its boundaries. The survey will be turned into a report at council on December 18th, the first of the new term. Among the questions is a basic one on whether the respondent was in favour of the decision to legalize marijuana in the first place. That is followed by a simple, do you think “the municipality should choose to allow retail cannabis stores in Lake of Bays as of April 1, 2019?” It finally asks for the age of the person filling out the survey and how they discovered the survey.
